The Generation Spirit Always Ikhlas Foundation (GSSI) also takes on the role in providing environmental education for children in an effort to support the creation of more responsible environmental management. Additionally, GSSI's vision is a happy society that is in harmony with the environment and interacts with each other. Moreover, GSSI's mission is to encourage the creation of a clean and healthy environment, involve the young generation as agents of development, and foster a culture of literacy.
First and foremost, GSSI (Generation of Always Sincere Spirit) formed an independent institution on May 17, 2010. Additionally, GSSI has a legal entity in the form of a Foundation. The aim of GSSI is to improve the quality standards of human resources in facing challenges in society. Furthermore, GSSI specifically engages in the fields of education, social, and environment. The foundation aims to achieve this goal through their efforts.
The Bandung City Government promotes waste management programs called the Pasgeber (Clean Movement Troop) module and the Kang Pisman Program (Reduce, Separate and Utilize), which the GSSI intends to integrate into a Waste Management Education Module.
The introduction of the #NyaahKaBandung spirit to children in the city of Bandung revealed that their energy and curiosity were considered to be one way to spread the spirit of zero waste in their homes and schools. Additionally, by teaching children the importance of waste management and how to practice it, they can effectively communicate this understanding to their families in the future, making better waste management conditions a reality rather than just wishful thinking or dreams.
